After developing a few design ideas I had I think I have finally come up with a rough structure and layout for the Psychology of Logos Publication. As it;'s intended audience is the everyday consumer around shopping centres, therefore I wanted it to be a nice looking informative booklet that people can pick up and browse either while they are at the shopping centre or later when they are at home. There is no particular age range I am aiming it towards, just anybody who would be interested in how businesses have some subconscious control over our consumer habits whether we like it or not.
I aim to write the content myself based on the research I have done for both the essay and The Psychology behind logo design.
I want the Double page spread to be able to fit on an A3 page as it will keep printing costs down and it only needs to be a small booklet, but I still want to have enough space available to play with an uncertain amount of text and image. Therefore I have decided a square page at the scale 180 mm x 180 mm would produce a decent sized publication which would both leave me enough room to play with the layout once I have written the body copy as well as still remain an acceptable size for a informative booklet you would find at a shopping centre info desk or booth.
