Considering I have never had any experience with stamp design i really will need some inspiration to get my idea ball rolling, I am going to look for more modern interesting and innovative stamp design, that seem to be leading the direction of stamp design.
I want to see how they appeal to a younger generation of stamp collectors, to see what styles are acceptable, as well as discovering what information will be needed.
The African nation of Liberia have issued 2 sheets of cocoa scented postage stamps, the stamps themselves obviously represent blocks of chocolate which is Liberia's leading export, the stamps first packaging is designed to look like an opened chocolate wrapper,
I think this stamp design is fantastic, it creates a clear message, while promoting the country and informing many people of the importance of that country, it is a modern, innovative response to stamp design.
