Design Process - Gym/ Company research

I have recently decided that I want to try and design this package for a specific gym, this would allow me to base colour and package visuals on an existing companies branding - However i want to use quite a small private gym rather than a huge multi million pound cooperation as it will allow me to play around with their original branding maybe adjusting or creating a brand new logo so I can base the rest of the designs on that.

I have chosen an old gym I used to go to where i live in Ackworth, it is an individual private gym called 'Fit 4 Life' , the original branding and logo is not too impressive but they already have a colour theme of blue and red as you can see here on their website

As you can seen the logo is ok but i wouldn't saw it was ore-inspiring.

I want to try and improve the logo so it would suit the package that I am going to create.

Color Selection for Gym Logos
Colors also play a vital role in attracting people towards your business, by exhibiting a great psychological impact on their minds. Bright and energetic colors like red, green, yellow, blue and purple can provide a more appealing look to the entire logo design.

Typeface Choices for a Gym Logo
Font selection is another part of a gym logo design that will make it more effective for your health club. Choose bold and stylish typefaces for representing the name of your gym or the slogan text. This will make the logo understandable by the onlookers and also help to convey the message that you want to get across in a gym logo.'
