Design Production // Design for print and web - magazine photography

I found these example of magazines that focus mainly around photography and use it as their main visual tool, which is what I would like to do within this Environment Typography Environment brief.

I like the idea of the entire page being covered by a single photo, with a small element of type being incorporated. I think it gives the 2D page a 3D element that can be utilized in many different ways depending on the photographs used.

The placement of the photograph below changes the entire feel of the DPS and this may be another aspect which I would like to use in either this or a future brief.

The centered title is simple and aesthetically pleasing.

again an example of a small amount of plain white type over the photograph which allows the photograph to create the main aspect of the visuals while also maintaining a good level of graphic communication.

The centered placement of the type, especially as it is a single word works nicely with the background photograph

I quite like the DPS below, it is an interesting idea of mirroring the image and using the hand rendered notation instead of using standard digitalised type.
